Special Advisor

Cynthia Caporizzo is the Special Advisor for Strategic Planning to the Director of ONDCP. In that capacity, she works on a myriad of organizational and policy issues, including criminal justice, juvenile justice, law enforcement and child welfare. Prior to coming to ONDCP, Ms. Caporizzo supervised a variety of juvenile and criminal justice and law enforcement projects - violence suppression, juvenile, adult, dependency and behavioral health drug courts, and child welfare policy while working as the Director of Policy and Planning for the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice and the City Attorney's Office in San Francisco. Prior to her positions in San Francisco, Ms. Caporizzo was at the Assistant Director for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Liaison for the COPS office and the Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs of U.S. Department of Justice.
